Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using VenturOS. It supplements our Terms of Service. If you violate this AUP, we may suspend or terminate your access.
2. Prohibited Uses
You must not use VenturOS to:
Illegal Activity
Engage in any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
Harmful Content
Upload, store, or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive, or that promotes violence or discrimination.
Security Violations
Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service; breach security or authentication measures; or interfere with service to any user, host, or network.
Intellectual Property Infringement
Upload content that infringes the patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights of any party.
Spam and Abuse
Use the Service to send unsolicited communications, chain letters, or spam; or to harvest email addresses or other information.
AI Abuse
Use VenturOS AI features to generate content that is intentionally misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive; impersonates real persons or entities; is designed to manipulate financial markets; constitutes professional advice (legal, medical, financial) presented as authoritative; or violates the terms of use of any underlying AI provider.
Resource Abuse
Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable usage; or attempt to overwhelm the Service infrastructure.
Competitive Intelligence
Access or use the Service for the purpose of building a competing product, performing competitive analysis, or benchmarking against the Service.
3. Fair Use
VenturOS is designed for active founders working on their own ventures. To keep the platform fast and affordable for everyone, we ask that you use it within the spirit of your plan.
Reasonable use
Each subscription tier carries a reasonable monthly envelope of executive-team interactions, research sprints, and shared-context operations sized for one founder running one venture at the intensity that tier describes. We don't publish hard numerical caps because the right envelope depends on how you work - but if your usage materially exceeds what a single committed founder could plausibly drive in a month, we'll reach out before taking any action.
If you exceed fair use
Our default response is a friendly note suggesting either a tier upgrade or a brief pause. We will not silently throttle or cut off paid accounts without first contacting you. Persistent excess after notice may result in rate limiting or, as a last resort, suspension under section 6.
One venture per seat
A Founder or Founder+ subscription is for one founder working on one primary venture. Running multiple distinct businesses through a single seat, or letting non-subscribers operate your Team, falls outside fair use.
No resale or pooling
You may not resell access to your executive Team, expose them through a third-party product, or pool a single seat across an agency, accelerator cohort, or client roster.
Automation and scraping
Programmatic access outside published APIs, headless scripting of the UI, or scraping team outputs at scale is not fair use, regardless of volume.
We'd rather have a conversation than enforce a rule. If you're unsure whether your use case fits, email hello [at] ventur-os.com before scaling it up.
4. Content Standards
Content you upload or create in VenturOS must: be accurate to the best of your knowledge (particularly financial data); not contain malicious code or scripts; comply with applicable data protection laws if it includes personal data of third parties; and not infringe any third party's rights.
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to hello [at] ventur-os.com.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations. If we determine a violation has occurred, we may: issue a warning; suspend access temporarily; terminate your account; remove offending content; or report the matter to law enforcement if required.
We will endeavour to provide notice before taking action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or its users.
